This organisation funds scientists, doctors and nurses in their quest to beat cancer, as well as disseminating information about cancer to the public and supporting those diagnosed with cancer with practical advice.

The Cancer Research UK Charity Shop in Bath sells second hand goods and clothing, and is pleased to accept any donations of same that are in a good condition.

This charity runs three children’s hospices in south west England, committed, as they put it, to “making the most of short and precious lives”. The staff are dedicated to helping and supporting children who are living with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions, and their families.

The Children’s Hospice South West Charity Shop in Oldfield Park, Bath is one of 30 shops operated by volunteers across the south west to raise funds for the hospices. It sells donations of all sorts of goods including furniture, household items, accessories, toys and jewellery.

Dorothy House Hospice Care

This well-respected local charity provides compassionate care and support for people in communities across a 700 square mile area of the south west, including Bath & North East Somerset. They run hospices and provide support for patients and families of those with life-limiting illness through outreach centres.

Dorothy House has no less than seven charity shops selling donated goods across Bath, one of them being a dedicated second-hand furniture and appliances shop which offers free collection of your unwanted items.

Julian House

This south west charity offers direct support to the socially excluded and most marginalised people in society. They undertake social enterprise projects targeted at preventing people from becoming homeless.

Julian House charity runs six shops across south west England to help with their fundraising, two of which are in Bath – 86 Walcot Street, BA1 5BD & 26 Shaftesbury Road, BA2 3LJ (Moorland Road shopping area)
