The Oxfordshire County Council is totally committed to reducing waste to landfill. Even most of the unrecyclable waste which is collected in the county is sent to the Ardley energy recovery facility, where it is burnt to produce electricity.

When it comes to recycling, there are regular household collections of a large array of waste items, including food waste, across the county, managed by the various district councils.

The county is also well supplied with recycling centres (tips) and recycling banks.
