Keynsham is a small town located between Bristol and Bath in Somerset. It is twinned with the town of Libourne in France. An important industry in the town from 1923 until 2010 was the chocolate factory, original for Fry’s and latterly for Cadbury’s. The town has grown on the convergence of the River Chew and the River Avon, but has also suffered severe flooding. This has been managed by the construction of Chew Valley Lake and level controls on the river at Keynsham Lock.
