EE warns that you should check the availability of broadband and fibre broadband in the area you’re moving to. You can use the online linechecker or call 0800 079 8586. If you also have EE TV you will need to check the digital TV signal at the new address. If you have our EE TV service, you’ll also need to check if you can get a digital TV signal at your new home.
Phone and/or broadband subscribers need to contact SSE at least 14 working days before they move, to ensure sufficient time to move their services. You can contact SSE on telephone 0800 294 4720 or via an online form on the SSE website. When you contact SSE they will need to know your moving date, your new address and an alternative contact number, such as a mobile. SSE will check whether there is an existing BT line at your new address which can be utilised – if not a new connection will be arranged. There may be a charge for this.
When you have your moving details ready, you can contact the Post Office HomeMove service to arrange for relocating your home phone and broadband account. Fill in the required information and follow the instructions and you can make a convenient appointment for a HomeMove representative to telephone you.
